Finding her niche in the Fashion Event Management and Styling arena initially, she excelled and eventually expanded her skills to include event management when she developed a project named Turpentine - a monthly fashion parade organised with the sole purpose of exposing and promoting local talent in the fashion design world here in Brisbane. Turpentine was also a platform from which local unsigned models could gain exposure and attempt to launch a career with a signed agency.
Charley endeavoured to display a myriad of different designers each night that was held and give guests of the events a taste of what is happening in the Brisbane fashion scene without making it seem unattainable and pretentious. As well as managing the event she performed a lot of research and handled all of the PR for each event and designers who were showing at one of the Turpentine nights have never been disappointed by the turn out.
If you ask any of the models who have worked on a Turpentine night, they will attest to Charley's passion for local talent and helping them get off the ground. They will tell you that they worked with Charley, not for her and they felt as though they were a part of something special. Charley has always shown intense passion and determination for what she does and when it comes to helping out local designers in need of a kick start she uses all the resources she has at her disposal to give them the chance they need.
Charley Greenfield has facilitated the initial exposure of several local designers and taking her passion and determination into consideration, it would be safe to say she will do the same for many more.
